for a band using your favorite anime or cartoon (imagine Naruto on lead vocals, Sasuke on bass, Gaara on guitar and Temari on drums... or Master Shake on lead
vocals, Frylock on bass, Carl on guitar and Meatwad on drums... get the idea?). You can enter as a single vocalist if you wish.
We'll provide the gear, you bring a cd with a song that your band can lip sync and rock out to. The contest will be based on stage performance and costumes.

These are the rules and guidelines for Cosplay Rockstar!
Contestants must be in cosplay as a band and perform to a song.
The lead singer will lip sync the song, and the rest of the band will assume the role of guitar, bass, drums etc...
We will have play gear on the stage to use, or you can bring your own.
Contestants will be given up to 8 minutes to perform their song and rock out!
You will be judged on the following criteria
(1) Your performance as a mock band
(2) Your cosplay costumes
After all cosplayers have performed, the judges will take a brief recess to decide on the winners and will then hand out awards.
For the cosplay rockstar competition there is only one costume allowed per person. Each entrant may enter as a single,
in a group or both - However you may only enter in one group - so the max amount of times you can be on
stage is twice. Do not enter the same song twice.
A group consists of at least 2 people and may have up to 10 members. Entry as a single means just that... 1 person.

RULES FOR COSPLAYERS
1. All performances must be under 8 minutes in length. If your song runs over 8 minutes, the sound technician may pull the
plug on your performance. If your song is longer than 8 minutes and you need more time, please note this on your application for
approval... the average length of a song is 3 minutes and 20 seconds... so 8 minutes should cover most songs
2. No Nudity. This is a family show and will contain young contestants. Keep it PG-13
3. All costumes must come from an established anime, cartoon, video game, manga, comic book, movie or jrock/jpop artist.
4. All contestants must fill out the cosplay rockstar registration form. When you come to the convention, you will
need to check in with the Cosplay desk, located right next to the registration desk. You will get all the information you
need at the Cosplay desk.

someone to get hurt… that’s why they call them accidents. ALL WEAPONS MUST BE PEACE BONDED. NO EXCEPTIONS!
This includes all swords, guns etc….anything that looks like a weapon, is a weapon. In addition no dangerous props are
allowed on the convention floor. If it’s a prop that can hurt someone if you
accidently touch them with it… it’s not allowed.

(play fighting, waving it around, etc.) they will be automatically
disqualified and might potentially be removed from the con.
